The #75 Mercer Motorsports car is 15 laps ahead of the #7 car.

You can view the NASA live timing and scoring here.

Yup - Good race. I got there just after 10:00 and stayed to the finish. Managed to congratulate Todd but didn't see Rich to say Hi.

I heard on the PA up there there were 2 teams trying for the Ironman - Certainly a hard thing to do. The fact he won his class is even more impressive.

He is also the 2009 SCCA National Champion in SM. It was a good year for the Gorilla

This is not the first year someone has run it solo, so I assume not.

They supposedly rented one and put it in the pit area.

I heard that he spent roughly 1 hour in the pits during the 25 hours.

that was a great race- started next to the oakland a's or packers colored SM of dp35...proud to say despite only doing about 10 laps in the car on friday per driver, we ran our E1 MX5 to 16th overall and 4th in class.

I was also crew chiefing for our car so I only slept for about 2 hours.

Having connections is a good thing- and despite our "short shift, save the car for tomorrow" strategy, we got Jonathan Edwards (cooper tire atlantic champion) to drive a stint in our car. We had such a good radio banter on the team, most of it was "car is okay" followed by 10 minutes of jokes and "watch out for that cup car! it's henzler!"

That was a great time this weekend. CJ, I assume you were in the #94 Miata, blue with a white top?

Our car was slow but consistent. It was the first time at THill for all 3 of our drivers and our first attempt at a race of this caliber, we were simply aiming for consistency and a clean 6 hour race. Which is exactly what we got. We were unsure about our fuel consumption and so opted for 1 hour stints. Turns out we could have done the full 2 hours. If we would have done so we would have won our class. In a measly ETA motor E30 with a 12 gallon sprint race fuel cell. Certainly different for me to have to shift the race car at 4250 RPM! And certainly different for me to have some Cup cars blow by you at such a huge speed differential, or having them pass you on the outside of the bypass.

We had a great time and spent the 8 hour tow back to Portland discussing our future endurance efforts. We almost upgraded to the full 25 hour this year, and have determined that we want to run the whole enchilada next year. Can't wait!

Quick Reply: Anyone here at THill for the 25 hours???
