Isn't it pretty flat? Not that I have a problem with that, since my home track is flat, but is it interesting enough to be worth the drive from Austin?

I'll try to dig up some videos...

Thanks for your input, everyone!

There's some artificial elevation fun at TWS a a consequence of the banked front straight, and some hill and cooperative camber for a bit in the back. It's not dramatic, though.

For fun elevation I'd suggest H2R or MSR Cresson in the 3.1 configuration (up past Fort Worth, three hours or so north of Austin).

The big, blind drop between 4 and 5 at H2R is absolutely thrilling.

I prefer TWS, while H2R is a nice track and set up it gets a little repetitive with all of the switch backs.

Alright. There are a lot of votes for TWS, here. I'll give them a call on Monday and see what I can set up.

Does anyone have any recommendations for where to stay / what to bring?

Thanks, everyone!

If you want cheap and basic, a lot of us stay at the Manor House (aka, the manor ho). About $60/night after tax with the PCA rate. But there are much nicer hotels in town. Courtyard by Marriott is another favorite.
