Congrats you will be a great instructor and ambassador of the sport. I should be lurking about in Jan and Feb at Winterfest and 48-hours, respectively.

Congrats! I've been instructing this second half of this year, and I must say it is extremely rewarding and I'm glad I made the decision to "jump in" to the instructor Pool!

This was my first time back to Sebring since my "incident" in the BMW. After some time off, and with my wife's acceptance, I've "climbed back up the horse which tossed me to the ground" and am back in the car hobby I love. As a additional unexpected bonus, I participated in the instructor school and was accepted! I had my first student the next day and must say I really enjoyed it. I do a lot of teaching in my profession, and enjoy it in that setting also. I'm going to go back and re-read Tom Kerr's instructor thread. The folks in the Suncoast region are a fantastic group of people and do a great job with their events.
Mark that is really awesome, congrats!!! The Suncoast Region really produces great instructors and you will be one of them, see ya at the track (at a Non-Suncoast event)

Good Job Mark I do not know the history of how the horse threw you, but kudos for getting back in the car. Having a good wreck does make you a good instructor because it brings your feet back to the ground and enforces safe driving. Don't ask me how i know. And yes instructing is a thrill or at least it should be or if not, get out of the passenger seat. We need people who really want to do it.

That leaves me wondering what you're talking about. PCA instructors are volunteers. No one is forced to instruct AFAIK. I don't know of any that don't enjoy it. Have you experienced something to the contrary? Maybe you're not talking about PCA? Just curious.
