Yeah, now that there is video of the exact instant of the "accident", I agree.

I liked how they had Goober from the tow company do a first class job pulling the car out of the water.

My hunch too after looking at the "its a lambo," video. Too clean and easy a drive off and in just the right place for a soft landing in the drink. Did not look like the driver did anything to try and get back on the road.

Can't see the bird either. Leaving the engine running after the plunge all smells like trying to max out on the damage.

VR, that avatar is the best to date.

So the guy that splashed the Bugatti owns a company that buys salvaged exotics, rebuilds them, and sells them. Hmmmm......

AND.....................

UPDATE #3: We've finally put one and one together. Andy House not only crashed his Bugatti Veyron into a lake, he also owns the now-repaired Eddie Griffin-crashed Ferrari Enzo!

There was definitely no attempt on the driver's part to correct the trajectory of the car when he left the road. It was a very intentional looking straight-drive off into the water. Very smooth. I would guess that insurance company is now doing some serious detective work with this video included as one of the key bits of evidence. No insurance company is going to pay out over a million dollars without going over everything with a fine tooth comb.

Looking really hard... he may have edged the car a tad left just as he comes up on the white poles... then he goes off to the right into some of Galveston's finest. Perhaps he lost control while completing his order from Amazon.com.

Whatever. It sure looks staged, and I bet he didn't plan on some Lambo Fans filming him. OOOPS.

Notice, too, how he drove off just before the guardrail... how convenient.

Exactly. He couldn't have picked a more smooth entry into the water.
