Maybe that should be the new slogan for NJ racers, "cheaper than getting a ticket" lol
We do carry the Team DI nomex. And the Rennlist discount helps too.

Does anyone have a confirmation that people did receive tickets for speeding?

And all they did for belts/etc was not let you run, correct? There were no citations for running with "expired" belts, correct?

Thanks

"all they did was not let you run" is bad enough for the standard issue track rat. Take time off from work, get kitchen pass from the wife, load up truck and trailer drive to track and get the 5 fingers up flat hand from Trooper Donutgut for a belt that has seen perhaps 15 days of filtered sunlight and passes tech with the group you are running with. (PCA 5 years for SFI) Scramble to buy and install some inexpensive craptastic belts from the full retail price trackside race stuff store before you loose any more track time.

A ticket would only be insult to the injury.

Can anyone in Jersey including the track management at NJMP that decided to post last week answer the question of FIA belts?

If the FIA says a set of $600 belts are good for 5 years, does New Jersey state law supercede that and deem the belts no longer able to be used in their state after only 2 years of manufacture date?
SFI - 2 years. FIA - 5 years.

From Chapter 62:

For Racing:

" All vehicles participating in racing, racing practice, qualifying or testing shall require a minimum of a five-point safety belt for each occupant......SFI 16.1 or SFI 16.5 .....shall be valid until December 31st of the second year after date of manufacture as indicated on SFI tag. "
"FIA 8853 ......seat belts shall be valid for five (5) years from the year of manufacture. FIA belts expire on December 31st of the year printed on the tag. "

Any chance there is a direct correlation between New Jersey being the HIGHEST taxed and nearly bankrupt and broke state, and their unneeded need to micromanage pca de's and kid's karting ?? Don't they have ANYTHING better to do. Why do the sheep tolerate this stuff ??
