Thanks guys.

I'm apexing 10a at about 60-62 in 3rd gear (still a lot left). Apexing 10b at 54-58. Cresting at 65-68.

I don't know if my car would be comfortable at 60ish in 2nd.

Would compromising 10a at a slower speed in 2nd be a better? I have no data on that approach.

Don't have any timing stuff and haven't looked at the speedo but my guess is exiting 10a at around 45, exit 10b at about 60, short shift under the bridge at around 75 and into 5th at the start line at a little over 100. 155 into 1

I think that is roughly the same speed I get through there. My gearing and wheel size is probably different than yours. If your able to accellerate through 10a/b and hard up and down the hill you are good to go. I was catching cars in the 10a/b area and getting beat going up the hill in 3rd. I went to 2nd and still had the same speed in 10a/b and good accelleration (relatively for 180hp) up the hill in 2nd with a shift to 3rd close to the hill top.

That's interesting. I will try 2nd next time out and get data. I have 17" wheels and 275/40 rears and 225/40 fronts.

I really don't like using 2nd. It feels like the weakest link.

Motec engine, AIM data.

Was picking up speed intermittently in the pits/paddock, but never would work on the track. Adjusted the sensor 3-4 times but never could get it to work. Not sure what the deal was.

The deal was that it wasn't GPS. When might you have the car at VIR next? I can hook up a GPS module and let you see what you think of it.
