Slightly OT but related, I created a driver's checklist which I laminated and tape to the inside of the 1/4 window next to the driver's door facing out. I can't tell you how many times I've had to climb back out to get something I forgot.... Simple stuff like switching on the battery under the hood, pulling the pin on the fire bottle, filling the cool suit cooler, gloves, cleaning the windshield, checking tire pressures, checking fuel, torquing the wheels, etc.....

My typical kit for an air-cooled 993:

DME relay,
Spare computer (if raining)
Lug nuts, seats bolts, wheel studs, rotors, half shaft, coil, dist cap, rotor, plugs, spare flywheel sensor, used spare clutch, pressure plate, MAS air flow sensor, air filter, big box of bolts for various fittings (CV joints), wheel bearing, drop links front and rear, fuel injectors.

At this point, I have had to service all of the above at the track less the clutch.

What am I missing? Toe links? Anyone care to add the odd parts not covered?
Bob, knowing what you have broken, why don't you just bring a spare car?

I didn't see spare fuel pump or brake caliper rebuild kits on the list.

I have no idea what that is since I always do my enduros and drive the full length in them.

Park next to the largest rig in the paddock, bring your wallet, relax and enjoy the racing.

I bring spares for vitually everything outside the case from electronics to sensors to axles, all suspension components, shift cables, shifters, to bearings, fuel pumps, hoses, fuelsafe parts, hardware....

I carry 16 big cases stock full of new parts.

I have a spreasheet of parts numbers, descriptions, and box numbers...

Heck I even bring spare hubs and bearings for the trailer as well as 4 spare mounted tires - so I am bit proactive LOL...

Because I have learned from so many years of racing that anything can and will fail.

Mussberger, funny, it is nice helping each other.

Sometimes I provide parts and sometimes others do. So in the end it balances out!
