Strange the '08 & '09 models are not listed. Greg Greenbaum doesn't like Porsche's so that may be the reason. As a former Nasa TT/PT Director I would guess you're looking at TTS which requires a dyno.
That said I assume your heading to Infinion this weekend so go talk to John Lindsey and tell him Graber said to let you run this weekend.

I was looking at old lap record times and I don't see the car being remotely competitive above TTA. The '07 C4S is TTA.

Here's my (rookie) "math" :

2009 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S Cabrio w/PDK = 3516 lbs
3516 / 385 hp = 9.13
AWD = -0.5
weight adjust 3700 lb (with driver) = +0.55
=9.18 (TTA = 8.70:1)

Points adjustment:
RA1's = +5
+20mm (305's) = +4 (factory stock, but wider than the allowed 295's)
3rd muffler delete = +2 (not on the car yet, but thinking about tinkering)
GT2 rear sway = +2 (ditto ... not on the car yet, but something to play with)
total = +13

WIth 6 points to stay under 20 total points adjustment, the car can weigh as little as 3620 lb with driver.

At 9.18:1 and 13 points, I believe my car is in TTA.

Advice?

I'm think the Hp to weight ratio is based on rwhp. I'm assuming 385 is flywheel on the new cars. I certainly don't know that much about base classing cars for TT, but I just can't see the new Carrera S ending up in anything higher than TTA.

My 2 cents,
Hoosier R6s are the best 10 points you can take. Assuming there are three or more people in TTA, the contingency can make them cost effective.

rwhp (to the ground) would make sense. That would change things and perhaps it could be tweaked to get into TTB, but I'd rather compare times with TTA where I think I'd have to work pretty hard.

I guess I could remove a nominal 10% driveline loss or say 35hp making it 350 rwhp.

2009 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S Cabrio w/PDK = 3516 lbs
3516 / 350 hp = 10.05
AWD = -0.5
weight adjust 3700 lb (with driver) = +0.55
=10.1 (TTA = 8.70:1)

Points adjustment:
RA1's = +5
+20mm (305's) = +4
3rd muffler delete = +2
GT2 rear sway = +2
total = +13

NASA classing doesn't work that way for TTA and lower. The base starting point is specified in the TT rules. ie 05-07 C4S is TTA. There is no way that you can run TTB. The Club Coupe higher hp is TTA +7. The newer 09 C4S will be at a minimum at least TTA and maybe higher. Derik is 100% correct in tires ie A6/R6 are the most important factor, he should know has won enough free Hoosiers. Since the 09 C4S is not listed in the TT rules it would probably default into TTS unless you get a ruling from Greg G. TT director.

By the way deleting the muffler is a lot of points for minimal weight loss.

Actually a fully built GTS3 E36 wont be in PTB. I have to remove some stuff to make it legal

Better actually do that if/when you try to claim TTB next weekend at Summit, we'll be checking

You've got my form, check away!

Gonna shake the car down at NJMP Sat and see what happens.
