I checked out stable energies, and they list them online. There are so many camera choices. I'm going to look at the smarty cam; I read they are just coming out in the US? Also looking at chase cam and go pro hero hd.

I'm sure you've found the online info here www.smartycam.com. More videos are popping up from people having used them. I had one in a car at the 12 hours of Cascades this weekend, but haven't seen the video yet.

Have not talked or heard from Craig @ Racecam recently.
I run a Racecam camera with the Chasecam PDR 100 solid state recorder.
This is a great combination, as Craig's Racecam is an incredible camera, with great resolution,
depth, wide-angle- my camera is mounted on the cage behind me, and it catches out the windshield, the dash board where you can see the instruments, my feet and shifter so you can see what you are doing relative to the car etc...has meter in the side that shows vertically red for braking and green for accel.
and has yawl / g's side to side.
The chasecam unit is excellent and easy to program. Can take the hostile environment of the cockpit- this is not consumer electronic grade stuff. Mil spec i believe.
A flash card is it- pull it out, put it in the reader, into your computer and download.

I ended up buying an aiptek setup. Seeing Bryan Watt's video sold me (his car is shaky like mine), and I'm only about $200 all in. Racecam has the best video I've seen, and that's what I'd eventually like to have, but still have more priorities on the "to buy" list for the cup. What a slippery (but amazingly fun) slope!
