Default Kimi to Red Bull..?

Heard on 'F1 Practice'
Apparently, Kimi doesn't want to promote McLaren sponsors as part of his contract which has effectively stalled negotiations. Thus piquing RB's interest.

This all from Peter Windsor's report from Sau Paulo's pit lane...

Kimi and Vettel at RBR, Mercedes Power, Newey chassis.....does it get any better than that?

Move Weber down to STR, which for all intents and purposes is RBR equipment.

There, everyone's happy.

Petu the Flying Finn and defender of all that is good and Finnish reported this rumor a couple weeks ago. Rennlist as a collective whole concurred that a Vettel/Kimi pairing would be unbelievable to see.

+1

What's heard on Rennlist racing forum today, can be heard on Speed two weeks later...

What's probably prompted more discussion is because there's been more negotiation...

A Kimi/Vettel pairing is as difficult as Alonso/Massa in terms of who is going to play second fiddle. The RBR platform was great this year, but would it not be better for Kimi to be on a team where he is the #1 driver?

Well if he went to McLaren, the #1 spot is firmly decided already.

No way it would Kimi/Vettel pairing be as difficult as Alonso/Massa, no way.

On the other hand you have two guys who are not much emotional, calm etc. in nature (Finnish & German) and who are two best friend in & outside of paddock...

On other you have two Latinos who are both very emotional, have past history of some rivalry (which raised it's head again yesterday) etc. are not friends with each other etc...

Something tells me the two latinos have a better chance of creating drama around them.

I think the right drivers are in the right team. Vettel/Kimi in an Austrian Team is an excellent fit just like Alonso/Massa and their latin temperment is a perfect fit for Ferrari. The teams will appreciate this. Lack of emotions didn't help Kimi's cause at Ferrari, did it?

I think a fair share of the blame should also be placed on the F60 ... not exactly one of their best.

I wonder what spin you will have next year when Massa pastes Alonso.

Wake up Wayne, Alonso isn't as fast and Massa isn't as slow as you think.
