Different perspective on NJ Motorsports Park
Someone took aerial pics of the Track for the Delaware PCA Region's event this weekend. Nice perspective of the 'lay of the land' so to speak .... Great event with some very good weather.
Thats the airport at absolute top.
Top pic shows the front straight at the bottom, turns 1 & 2 at the far left, turn 3 is at the top opposite the chicane, and turn 4 is far right ..
Bottom pic shows turn 4 at the top and right, thru turns 5 (lefty) and 6, and into the 'octopus'/'jersey devil', etc. The esses, tunnel/bridge and turn 12 are to the left, with the front straight at the bottom..
You can see where the offs are in the 'octopus'/'jersey devil', etc. by the dirt/scrubbed grass (where people overcook the corner) ..
Lightning and the Karting tracks are shown at the top right of the second pic as well ...

Thx. Its funny - you can learn things from aerials. Turns 6 & 7 (following the sharp left hander #5 in the bottom pic) are very easy to early apex. 6 almost has an optical illusion of running out of track towards the turn in point. The turn in points for 5, 6, & 7, are later/deeper than one initially thinks in my experience. Anyways, you can see some evidence of the fact that a lot of drivers early apex 6 & 7 based upon the overshoot 'grass wear' adjacent to the curbing and by looking at the angles/lines to apex ..

Gums - taken this past weekend as p/o a PCA event ..
I have a friend who is buying one of the Condos - been some time coming along .. Think they will be nice in the end. One cool thing he did was run a cable from the tower to his condo so he gets the feeds/info the tower has on his TV (as you cannot hear the loudspeakers out there). I thought that a pretty good idea. NJMP may now offer this for all of the units (or may not)..
