NASA @ VIR, best time to watch Porsches? ** event pics **
I've spectated at two past Bosh enduro races at VIR. I've taken my young son both times and have really enjoyed watching the races and seeing the cars up close an personal in the pits. NASA just posted the weekend schedule at VIR, and to be honest it's confusing to figure out what to watch and when? They are planning a lot of racing over the weekend, but I feel lost as to what will be the best "show" to watch with my son and friends.
I can only attend Saturday afternoon, and want to maximize the Porsche vs. BMW viewing time. Will it be worth it? Any suggestions...

This weekend at VIR:
October 10-11
NASA Oktoberfast Roadracing and German Car Festival
Auto Sport Association brings a new group to VIR spectators with their October 10-11 races. Always action-packed, with a wide variety of cars, from Cobra replicas to Pony car big iron and a slew of BMWs and Miatas, NASA races have something for everyone.

Autobahn & Thunder groups will have all the Porsches. Each group will have two races on Saturday starting at 12:50 and ending at 4:30. If you had to only pick one group I would go with Autobahn as 944Cup will have 30+ cars for their National Championship

Watch the Thunder races in GTS "German Touring Series". GTS3 through 5 race in Thunder. Good fields in both GTS3 and GTS4. GTS3 will have a good mix of Porsches and BMW's. GTS4 usually has a good mix as well, but just all Porsches this time because BMWCC has a big race weekend as well elsewhere. In addition, Autobahn run group will have GTS2 which is another good mix of Porsches and BMWs. Lastly, this is the 944 Cup and Super Cup National Championships with a huge field as well. I think we will be racing in the rain on Saturday with two sprint races, but you never know, either way will be great racing.

GTS3 has a nice mix this event as well as GTS2. GTS4 is all POrsche for this event.
GTS3 is in Thunder
GTS2 is in Autobahn
Rain definitely would make things interesting but weather report so far is conflicting. So we could get nothing or we could be soaked. Will have to wait till Friday for an accurate Sat forecast :P
