Safer to be in front & watch it in your mirrors though.

Driver induced crashes (as opposed to mechanical failure or getting caught in someone else's error) are almost always caused by 2 or more mistakes. It starts with a mistake that the drive does not corrent, which leads to a bigger mistake (and perhaps more) until the crash. This is one of the worst cases I have ever seen. This guy kept making mistake after mistake, never registering that he was making mistakes. So he just kept making error after error until he finally ran out of luck/track/talent.

I driver MUST be able to self correct, or they are going to have a very short career. Gotta wonder what his personality is and/or what kind of race license training he got. When I instructed at competition license schools, I always spent time on identifying errors and correcting then early.

Exactly. How can you fix a mistake if you don't realize/admit that you made one to begin with?

My sentiments exactly. I've followed guys like that before and I'm always afraid they're going to take me out with them. It's usually a matter of "when" not "if" they're going to ball it up.

I think he should install a big-a$$ blower during the rebuild.
