Default Daytona Road course

Audi club is running an event on the Road course of Daytona Int.l speedway in December.
I am thinking of making the trip but do not know what is it like to drive part of the oval.
Has anyone Driven on this course????
Your input is greately appreciated.

Yes, what do you want to know? If you are running either of your Porsches you should be over 170 mph as you go into turn 1.

BTW I have a couple of racing video from Daytona, just click on the link.

You're getting a proper alignment for Daytona, right?

^^ +1
RR II might have been the first time a large PCA group ran on Daytona. Its a daunting track, but not technical at all. Its a blast to drive, but not that challenging.
That said, the high speed oval requires a very different alignment to avoid burning up the left rear on rear engined cars.

It is a thrill ride, and it is worth experiencing. The Audi Club runs a great event.

Audi club runs a fantastic event. I went to their first at Daytona and it remains to this day my favorite DE due to the organizers approach, ample track time, and OH YEAH the unbelievable terminal velocity,

MO,

I went last year, but can't make it this year due to family event conflict. They had Randy Pobst, Mark White, Mike Galati and Chip Herr there to drive your cars and give you feedback on car set up and also how to drive the track.

I'm sure that DEs there are fun, but there is nothing like racing there; being the top guy going 3 wide through the banking!

Last year I came out of NASCAR 4 as the top car passing two cars side by side I got VERY close to the wall... definite brown alert.
