Should I continue to track my Cayman S?..Will the motor grenade? Your input plz!

I had the 2.5L for 61 DE days and it was still running strong when I returned it. The current Boxster S has somewhere near 150 track days and the engine is still putting out plenty of power.
Maybe I've just been extremely lucky, but I look at the number of rebuilds the air-cooled guys are doing and I'm a little bit in shock that they can even suggest the water cooled cars aren't reliable.

D-Chunk is a common problem ( at least in my case) with the M96. It's when a portion of the cylinder breaks off wreaking havoc on the internals. There was a great write up on the M96 and it's issues in Excellence a couple of issues ago. If you plan on tracking a Boxster or Cayman, I would reccomend it.

Isn't the Cayman subject to the same issues that have claimed many Boxter and 996 motors due to some inherient design faults?
