If you are saying street/ production car sedans, then yes the Panamera will be likely be the best ever. Will be faster than the CTS-V and the M5 which are the cream of the crop right now. I doubt anyone builds a race car out of one though.

Yes, this is exactly what I was proposing. I have no idea if it's true, just trying to start a track related Panamera discussion. I don't find it offensively ugly. Not beautiful, but not that bad, and I suspect that after people get a chance to drive it, opinions will start to shift.
