Good call!! Anybody who can share an M3 around the NB-ring for 24hrs and win while snowing and raining is the right man for the job. 2 problems with him though, too old and too big!

Slightly off topic but did anyone see the interview with the USF1 principle on Wind Tunnel Sunday night?
He was terrible! Although he may be smart they need to get him some PR lessons on how to do an interview or get someone else to be the mouth piece.
He was embarrising!

Not so sure about Rossi.
Longer term, I would hope that USF1 has their eyes on Sage Karem

That's almost as funny as suggesting Villeneuve!
Villeneuve wouldn't bring anything to the table. He's been out 3 years and so much has changed, no point of bringing him as the "experienced" drive at this point, there's much better experienced drivers available.

He was really good and has the chance to live up to the expecations many have set and has shown improvement in the series this year. Time will tell how well he can improve while driving cars.

+2 on Newgarden. That young man is an apparent special talent. As I said earlier, there are a slew of potentially qualified US drivers in the junior formulae...
Sage is a thought but another Skippy driver has already been evaluted by USF1 at this past mid-July's evaulation/coaching day at Bruntingthorpe in the UK - Michael Ramies (see attached photo of, (L-R) Peter Windsor, Rob Wilson, Ramies, and Ken Anderson)

Though it was erm, awkward at times during the interview wasn't it?
Thank goodness for Bob Varsha!!

Okay Finn, if not Villeneuve in the "non US seat" how about Schumacher...

Karem hasn't impressed me as much as I thought he would in the Barber National series yet. I watched him at VIR and felt there were a couple of better talents just in that series, at least currently.
He was really good and has the chance to live up to the expecations many have set and has shown improvement in the series this year. Time will tell how well he can improve while driving cars.

If USF1 has an 'unofficial' driver development programme, in 5 years or so I would expect Sage to be considered for a USF1 seat.
