Anyone have an update on how Alan is doing after his fire at Daytona?

I found this info on the Spec Miata site. As it says he is stable and he has good days and bad days.

That is horrible. I have a suppression system and hope it would prevent a situation like that. I hope he makes a complete recovery.

I regret to inform the racing community that Alan passed away last night.....our condolences to the family. He was a friend and a great person.

I don't ever put the pin in mine. I'd rather set it off on accident (which I have done) than forget to remove the pin.
