Ed, I actually intended to express enthusiasm for the 2009 championship outcome (obviously). The very first on track instruction I ever received was from former FLMS principal and #44 driver Lonnie Pechnik, so I'm a long time fan of the team; what can I say?

But my first two words were a teaser from the perspective of the year, separate from the spoiler re: the outcome of the race. #45 needed to finish 10th or better for the repeat (regardless of where the 2nd place Ferrari finished). So the warning was intended to cover the actual finishing order for #45 (in other words, Patrick's race results).

Did he finish 1st? 2nd? 10th?. You'd have to either click the link or watch the tape delay to find out. Sorry that wasn't more clear.

Hopefully you'll finish the garage in time to still catch some of the race

I hear what you're saying, but I wanted total surprise today.

I'm a longtime fan as well.....my closet, my office and my slot car set help to prove that!

Okay we are about a week away, if you received the last email(sent today) please do Your homework and get it back to me asap.

If You did not receive an email and think You were confirmed please let me know at believeracing@gmail.com

Pat is one of the best drivers in the world and one of the nicest people in the world, this should be a real treat for all of You! Congrats on being able to set aside the time to do this. You should learn more in these 2 days than You will in a year of tracktime on Your own.

Please don't hesitate to touch base with me with additional questions.

There are 2 additional Spec Boxster rentals available, one is for a guy 6 ft or taller the other is for normal folks. the Spec Miata is rented as is the 996 Cup with the exception of a couple of sessions for the Cup.

Glen, the request for specific objectives got me thinking... would it make sense to include both CW and CCW track time? Just an idea; no problem if it doesn't work within the overall schedule and objectives.

Isn't it?

I just got home from 2 days doing the 1.7 clockwise. First time in 4 years for me, and IIRC only once or twice before that. Man, what a blast & a challenging configuration!

I just love the run up the hill through Ricochet... wagon wheel requiring more patience and precision at turn in... and carrying all that speed through tombstone and boot hill can be pretty darn intense in traffic...

Regarding your halloween theme avatar.... BOO!

I'm the guy you spoke with on the phone last week about Roger's car. You'll be pleased to know that you'll be reunited with #13 during your visit, it should arrive at MSR this weekend.

Looking forward to lessons from the guy who built the car!

Thanks, Glen.

I could possibly make the SPBOX available. My initial thought was for me to run the SPBOX on Tues and then switch to the 996 on Wen. That way I can concentrate on the lessons on the first day without trying to learn a new car. So I would say for Wen, yeah it's available. Not sure I want to commit to making it available on Tues though.

On Sunday I have another test in the old 911 to test the new engine again. If it passes then I will drive that on Tues. and the SPBOX could be available both days. However I won't know until Sunday afternoon.

That is great! Roger called and told me you would be there with it. It's going to be a lot of fun. We should get Roger to come out as well and rent the spec box from you on Wed.
