Awesome, he's a very good driver. I wish I could downshift like that. I had a feeling he would move up, though it's VERY hard to pass on that track.

thanks!

Great footage, thanks! Interesting that he doesn't left foot brake. Plenty of places where it might actually help him.

LOOK AT HOW FULL THE STANDS ARE!!!!!!

Cool. Assume that is state of the art data acquisition. What system is it?

This was the opening race to the SuperGT round - these races are usually sold out - but half of the people who show up are there to see the race queens.... We started 4th and 5th - I am in the car in the front with green strip down the middle. The front three cars are '08s with more HP - we are in the '07 Cups cars.

You are right about left foot braking - need to practice.

It's interesting to see you and the camera car take slightly different lines in a few of the corners, with you turning in slightly later & more sharply, making a later apex, and the camera car turning in sooner but less, thus having less steering angle through most of the corner & needing to slow less & drive less distance. And these are the corners where he really closes on you! A good lesson there for everyone.

And yes, left foot braking in the camera car would have really helped him close rapidly in a couple of places IMO. Nevertheless, you both drove very well!

By the way, no footage of the race queens???

V.R. I agree. Looking at the video, I was pretty sloppy on few of these corners - I skipped practice to save a few bucks and that's what I got... ;-)

Need to watch that video several times so I can catch all the things happening. Interesting to watch the driver's feet too. Great video. msk6403 - I'm very jealous! Nice job.

All 997 Cups come from the factory with the MoTeC ADL2 in special form for the Cup cars. The Chasecam can be added and integrated/auto-sync'd if you unlock the dash, but not required. In this case it appears they are using the SS1000 add on to show the feet. The dash display comes stock with the add-on pack for the Chasecam Dashware software. The Dashware software is like Trackvision in that it allows you to overlay the data onto the video after the fact.

Interesting, I paid to unlock the dash on my '08 cup and later added a new Chasecam. Do I just need to buy software to put the data onto the video now or is it some hardware that does it in real time?

He may close in but it appears to kill exit speed.
