The the Ferrari couldn't hold the road.

Is it time for Ferrari to consider a rear engined car and give up on the out-dated mid-engine design?

One of those Bimmers will eventually win a race as long as they've got big money behind them.

Probably not before a Corvette does though.

How old is the ferrari chassis? On tv they mentioned the GT2 vette has been in design for the past 10 years.

BMW does look good as well.

The 'vettes weren't even in the same time zone as Bergmeister/Long. Porsche doesn't have those two driving the RSR, then all bets are off.

Corvette wins a race long before BMW wins.

The GT2 vette program is from -08. IIRC the 430 program is from -05 and probably succeeded in a year or two with the 458.

That's silly. 10 years? That's announcers trying to sound like they know what they are talking about. The ALMS is only 10 years old and the current Corvette chassis is only 4 years old. Race car development is measured in months...sure they didn't say 10 months?

Why is the second Lizard car so slow? Wolf Henzler is an insane driver (note fastest race lap), who is that other guy, seems like a rotating group of people. Plus wasn't Wolf in the winning car last year? Also the Farnbacher car is off the pace severely as well.

The Corvette team is a factory team, on their home turf, as opposed to US based teams being supported by foreign manufacturers. In that aspect everyone else is at a disadvantage. But pretty good point about the design. Wait till the Corvette's win a race, then the whole mid engine "race the cayman" extravaganza will start again.

The other guy owns the team, Seth Neiman. I am sure his talent is not as good as the others but he is getting there. I also think his car is a year old but i could be wrong.

Henzler is driving the #87 Farnbacher-Loles car these days. The #44 Lizard machine was driven by
Seth Neiman and Darren Law yesterday. The number 44 is on a new chassis because it was the car
that was wrecked at LeMans. New chassis are very rigid and much more sensitive to set-up changes.
