Hi Terry
Welcome to RL.
I'm not an engineer but I don't think 950 kg is gonna fly. The will wood system is designed for a tongue weight max of about 60 pounds. Tongue weights are commonly around 10% of the trailer weight depending on a ton of variables.
Good luck!

I have e-mailed Willwood Systems twice with no reply. Is that the only hitch manufacturer out there for a Boxster?

I recall that he has some health issues and can be slow to respond.

I finally heard back from his wife, but she said he would contact me. That was three days ago.

Great DIY Post!

When I searched for a tow hitch on the U-Haul website, they said that they do not have a hitch available for a 986, but would want to fabricate a custom one for free. I'm assuming they would design and start to manufacture one for the 986 to offer it on the market. The only catch is that you would have to leave the car at their site for 2-3 days in Tempe, AZ while the design and build one. Anyone in the Tempe area that is willing to do this? The following is the message I received from U-Haul...

These posts were all before the lobotomy. Coochas is now certifiably insane so I would not use any information from him post-2015.

It's kinda sad to see how far he has sunk now but we all still talk to him like he is a normal person because he doesn't know any better.

I feel sorry for the cars.

Thanks Todd. GFY!
Although I started this post 10 years ago, I believe that I was equally insane back then.

Looking back on this post, I believe it may have been the last time I posted anything meaningful on Rennlist.

I'm trying to reach that step of owning an F1 team. I'm hopeful I can get Williams for 200 million. Now I just need 200 million.

Next time you're at Tremblant hit Lawrence Stroll up He'll know you won't be a threat......

And if he's on track with you MAKE SURE YOU POINT HIM BY!

So I’m reading the first post about a tiny little trailer without noticing the date, and I’m thinking, doesn’t Dave travel with a chef and a masseuse?

The link is broken to this description and the pics aren’t showing up. Am tempted to hook up a trailer to my 2015 Boxster and am having a hard time finding any wiring information.

I know this is an old thread but any help would be appreciated. Even the pics.

thanks,

John Locascio
