Default Putnam Park video from this past weekend

Here is some video from the PCA race this past weekend at Putnam. It was our first time there. It's a great little track. The surface is a little hard on the tires but the layout is a lot of fun.

One of my all time favorite tracks. Fun little rhythm course with some cool turns.

My first race was at Putnam in '06. I've been trying to get back ever since.

Good defensive driving in T1. Looked like PW chopped you pretty hard. Glad to see you got the spot back.

How did McKenzie run?

PW just didn't see me. I was tucked into a blind spot, no biggy. Tim had his recently restored 914 back out there. It looked great and was very quick. He and Pat had a great battle along with Fernando Pena in his 996cup.

Great driving Cory, you were flying out there. What is the difference between a 997 Cup in C4 and GTA?

Technically you can do pretty much anything you want in GTA. Our car though is an 08 spec grand-am model. The differences that affect performance are headers, different wing, front splitter and flared front fenders. We are running a slightly wider tire all around than a c4 car but the tires we use are not as good as the "cup" tires most c4 cars run so the width kinda evens out the performance. I ran the enduro with John Crosby in his c4 car and the lap times where basically the same as in my car give or take a few tenths.

Cory,
Really enjoyed your video. I've driven Putnam multiple times in 6gt3 on R compound tires and it was a real "ego trip" for me to see my line was almost exactly like a real drivers line. Many times on that track I would dream about how exciting it would be in Cup car then spend the rest of the season trying to justify Cup car for DE's. Thanks again for the video. What times were you turning?

A cup car in DE would be a little overkill but it sure would be fun. I was turning 10's in the first few laps of the race in the video until I started hitting traffic. Best lap was a 10.6 I think.
