Default 'FEEDBACK. . . I'M RIGHT ON IT!' ;-)

I just read the LRP reponse in the other thread. The Saturday Pararde Lap is scheduled to go at 12:10. For those that wanted photo support, it's about the worst time you could ask for as far as decent shots of you and your car. It also interferes with the autograph session for those that may have wanted a poster or some other memo signed by the drivers...

That being said, I will most likely set myself up to grab shots of those participating in the parade laps close to the entry of the esses. It's about the only sun neutral corner for that time of day.

IF you are in the parade lap and want a shot of your car, PLEASE follow the exact line of the guy in front of you, and PLEASE don't bunch yourselves up. Unlike the race, I'll only get 1 or 2 chances to get the shot you want.

The ALMS warmup on Sat is 9:50-10:10. If a large group of P-cars is planning on entering the track waaaay before then, say 7-8:30. Then I can arrange to set myself up on the route as you enter the track property, or some other notable landmark within say 3-4 miles of the track. Pre-planning this is crucial if it's the way you guys want to go. I would also need guidance as to a good place to shoot from, as I'm not overly familiar with the area and any good backgrounds or landmarks there may be.

Awaiting feedback...
Chris -

Feedback. . . (I'm back on the grid, wondering 'why', and if I throw sushi in the pool will it come back to life so I can fish it out?)

I was thinking 'group shot(s)' -- as in body shots; simple human body shots!
A couple few, perhaps soon after the caravans arrive on Saturday, then 'off to the races!'

The coveted parade lap personal car photo is quite a nice offer, Chris!
You know I can't pay you 'IMSA wages' (oh wait, perhaps I can!)

(Do YOU have photos to get signed during the autograph session?)

How about on Friday we 'case out' the weather, where the new Porsche Corral is situated, scope out the track again and talk with some peeps and then
I'd be happy to pass the info / plan onto the NY and Boston contingencies? I have #'s.

Perhaps the P-cars could compete at the chicane for you to capture us nearly 'airborn' like your awesome RS Spyder shot!

Important to note -- if there IS an interest in Parade lap participation and car photos, then this gives further rationale for the earlier track arrival so caravaners who hold Corral tickets can be in the 'first fifty to sign up' on the day of the parade lap.

Thank you for the offer, Chris. . .Looking forward to catching up with you and your CT friend!

Let me know what works...

Kim

Chicane? What is this chicane you speak of? (That section of track was essentially removed during the repave).

If I do have anything that needs a signature, I can get the Pizza Man to do it for me.

Thanks for the track update -- I bet the Safety Guys are happy about that!

I was going to mention the 'pizza box' thing, but, well, 'you know!'

Yes, the original chicane at the top of the uphill is gone but they added two more - one at the base of the uphill and one at the entry of West Bend, they basically eliminate both sections.

I'll be there on Saturday to represent the 928 community! Can't wait! I think it would be a great idea to combine both groups for a get together.Ed

The old chicane and track layout caused the cars to go airborne.

They still may at entry to the uphill as they jump both in and out, pretty much going straight through it!

Default LET'S TRY THAT AGAIN!

Anthony-

Thanks for the call! What an introduction . . .
OK, I really am not in 'Margaritaville, without a margarita'. . .

Just happy I didn't drop my phone in the water, when I figured it all out!

Looking forward to our next conversation -- 'back east' where the air is cooler than the water is here!

We'll get you a ride, too.
