TomN, Dave (VR), Tucker (DogInBlack), ChrisC, great to put faces with names and see old friends. Next time, I am going to register.....on time

How was the rain? Anymore 'incidents' like on Sat? Any word on the driver of the 350Z? Is he ok? That was a big hit...

I left just as the announcement was made for 'all drivers and instructors." Did everyone get a "good stern talking to?"

SHAKE AND BAKE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Teh rain was nothing, really. Rest of the event went quite well IMO, although there was another incident yesterday afternoon after the stern talking to.

GREAT to see you again, Chad, and to meet a lot of folks from here.

I have a track hangover. Wow, the perfect week other than one of my friends having an accident- oh and the meth deal that went down at The Waffle House in Greenville, Al last night at 9:45 with a big fat redneck in a wife-beater undershirt bought at Walmart in 1997 (I gathered that from the smell) covered in racist jailhouse tattoos and refered to himself more than once as 'Dirty White Boy'. He even had it in vinyl on the rear window of his truck. I thought I was going to die sitting there drinking coffee in a Synergy Porsche Racing t-shirt. Thankfully I had my Glock 23c- in the truck.

If you know me, you know I couldn't make that up.

Chad, I ran to check on the accident, so I'm sorry I didn't get to visit with you a little. I still have no idea why they didn't let you register to come play. 350 guy is reported to be ok. The debrief is that he was coming down the hill into 12, saw the checkers, and lifted.

Lesson to ALL- continue driving at speed through the checkers into turn 1. I was about 2 feet off of Pete's bumper Sunday into the checkers and he lifted at the line.

Tom N, nice to meet you and your beautiful GT3.

Seth, it was good to see you, although briefly. Congratulations, again.

Dave T- one of the best 5 days ever. I really enjoyed it. I don't know how we didn't hook up for one of the 170 some odd laps. Thanks for the friendship.

Mike, I'm sorry your track season is over, but I'll look forward to shaking it up with you again next year.

Dave S- you rock! You are a fun fellow to be around on and especially off the track. I hope to catch up with again soon.

I turned around around Sunday pm and you guys were gone and the place almost empty. Guess you had your fill after VIR. The afternoon sessions were nice- when was the last time your drove at RA and didn't roast yer nuts?

Thx. Mental acuity skips a generation in my family apparently. My Dad was a bright guy.

Would have liked to have hung out more with you all but it was fun being with Alex for the first time and he really dug it. It was kewl to hang with him. Carting for him next year I think.

C u all soon. Aug PCA/RA?

p.s. Why do some folks here seem to have an unfavorable impression of VR? Seems like a very good guy to me. Is it because he's from Texas? Drives a BMW? Or because he's blazing fast?

Enjoyed seeing and meeting you guys. Chad, great to see the car on the street although your license tag was a little suspect. Thanks Dave T for the ride, although I am now permanently deaf in my right ear. What a blast! Enjoyed meeting the VR in person. Good weekend, the kid in the Mini was a hoot. His instructor had to leave early so they assigned him to me. I ain't totally stupid, signed him off for solo, one session in that hot-rod was enough for me.

Any chance the z that crashed was orange? If it is who I suspect, he was my student at a recent BMW RA event & one of my toughest assignments ever. He wanted to be signed off & I could not do so without fear of the consequences.....

Video games do not translate well to real track time.....

I think it's fair to say Turn 12 solved that problem.

Nasty Hit though I just happened to be standing at the bleachers when he tagged the wall. It was a blue car.

Chad sorry I didn't get a chance to meet you.
