Great looking design. I'm glad it's not a Spec because I don't want to have grid next to it. It would make me look really bad.

Gorgeous all the same, and that top is fiberglass.
How come you're hiding on this, Phil?
It was listed as an 07 986 S in the result sheets. Given that the 986 was no longer produced in 07, I'm going to assume that it's really an 07 987S

That's GORGEOUS - super clean, subtle and tasteful, yet fun.

It's a 07 Boxster S with a 3.4 motor, JRZ Pro suspension, roll cage built by Kalani in PA, and the rest of the car was built by Spencer *** at Farnbacher-Loles who's now done several of these Cayman/Boxsters built just for the track.

It looks awesome Phil and it seems you spared no expense for it. All that's left is to change your avatar

What's your plans for the yellow car?

It's G Class...... haven't been hiding it, it's just been a long road to getting this done.

I purchased it last year at an auction and I did plan on driving it on the street but ended up making it into another track car. I really wanted to do a cayman but couldn't find one at the right price. I managed to bag this 07 S with 8k on the clock for less than 20K. Most of the damage to the car was cosmetic with several panels being dented or a hole from a screwdriver - I think it was an insurance job.

I really love driving the yellow car, Dino Loles had the car setup just right for the WG race. Had it not been for the 30cent clip on the axle I think he would have been in the top 5 overall.

I think Im going to keep it and just rent it out for a while. I've had two people sign up so far. It could be good for someone who doesn't want to turn their car into a track car or wants to test the waters in club racing first before spending the money to convert a car over.

I'd also like to think about doing an west/east coast timeshare on the car. It would be a hoot to drive some of the tracks on the west coast, if anyone is interested let me know - this could be a cheaper way to drive some of the tracks without the cost of transporting across the country.

I was kind of hoping that somebody decided to do a super-spec with 3.4s but It would make mine look bad as well both on the grid and most likely on the track with the JRZs. Not to mention the loose nut behind my wheel.

Please go to www.boxsterspec.com. There is a section for input in regards to a future Super Spec class.

Yes, I know but it looks like the consensus is to use the early 986 S with the 3.2. I know it makes sense since there are more of those around and they are cheaper but I was hoping that they would use the current 3.4L 987 S and allow older Boxsters to update to that spec. I didn't really expect it but even without VC+ and the S brakes I think I could be more competitive with a bunch of those cars then I can be in GT3.

Those numbers lasted several seasons with install/remove each track weekend. I moved regions and was assigned a new number so had to toss them (they were looking pretty tattered anyway).

10 years!?!?! Yep, time flies when you're driving slow...
