I had a chance for a brief drive in the car yesterday, and I was impressed. Really well balanced, and very quick. Reducing the weight even further will only make it better. Several World Challenge cars were out practicing as well, and the Cayman was keeping pace with the quickest Speed Touring class cars. And there's still going to be a lot of improvement on the Cayman .

I love the look of that car and like the semi-917 paint job. Everyone is right, if you desire a lighter car it will absolutely get better with a diet. My car wet without driver is 2550#. When the Cayman is out next we need some video and sound when its on the throttle leaving a corner!

As a self proclaimed historian of the sport, I just love the retro paint scheme idea, can't wait to see more of them.

I agree, I think it's a very cool idea, and the combination with running at the HSR events makes the series a little bit different.

Ok here we go....Just returned from the HSR weekend at the Glen. The car was a HIT!!! We thought it would be best not to race the car since we had really no one to race against. BUT we did lay down an official qualifying lap of 2:07.28. Not too bad considering we only had a 1 day test on Tuesday!!!! There is more in the car with a little more spring and a few demon tweaks. HSR will be making an announcement in the next couple of days about the remaining 09 schedule and the 2010 Series. We will have a Championship for the remaining races on the schedule.

Everyone who has driven the car has said that the car is very easy to drive and has a big"sweet spot" that makes it very forgiving and FAST.

Over 300 miles now and the car has been bulletproof.......

Nice looking car. Any pics of the cage?

I'm surprised you didn't convert the lug bolts over to studs, seems like it would be more convenient for a racecar.
