I am very proud of our military members.
If you see a member of military this week take a moment to thank them and maybe even pick up a tab for them if you see them in a restaurant. We should let them know we appreciate their service.

This past week I took my daughter out for hamburgers & fries for dinners, to give my wife a break. An active duty soldier in uniform & his wife and sone came in after we were seated. I paid for their supper, but remained anonymous. I do this whenever I can, even when it's not near a national holiday!

Pretty cool movie called Taking Chance with Kevin Bacon. Anyone seen it? It is about a soldier escorting a fallen marine home to his family. We are about to rent it on AppleTV. Seems like a good movie for today.

As an active duty Marine, I just want to say thanks to all who have posted the kind comments above. Your thoughts and prayers are truly appreciated by all of us who haved served and are serving. Special thoughts today to the families of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice!
I haven't seen the movie "Taking Chance" yet, but I'm familiar with the true story and used to work with LtCol (Ret) Mike Strobl (the casualty escort officer who Kevin Bacon portrays) and I know he wouldn't let anything less than accurate go to print.
Semper Fi,
