Has anyone here used both the Hans and the Defnder?

If so, is one more comfortable that the other?

Leatt has been invovled in a few patent infringement lawsuits of their own as well:

IIRC, Karl Ebel (formerly director of marketing at Leatt) is a principal in the defender brace and was named in a suit by Leatt....it's been a while, I am beginning to forget.

I have worn both strapped into my car (but not driven with) and found the Hans more comfortable. The Isaac was even more comfortable but found it more restrictive.

Can't comment on difference as its the only one I've ever used.

It did take a little adjustment to get it right. I did the install myself and didn't find it difficult.

Its pretty easy to connect and disconnect with your helmet on even in the car and strapped in.

The one thing that I noticed that instructors in my car that with their Hans had some trouble getting the shoulder straps right (slipping off)but that was probably the strap setup with my kirkey seats and not the Hans.

BTW the green is ugly and the tassels for the release may look stupid but they are easy to find when you need to.

Personally I don't like the fit of the HANS with the pads, I use the HANS without the pads and think that it fits great that way. The DefNder is slightly more comfortable just sitting in the paddock however once underway they both disappear into nothing.
