What is and where to find a good rear wing.
I am looking for a rear wing for an early 911 race car. I only need the wing element and end plates. Any good ones out there? There is so much bolt on for looks only stuff for sale it is hard to search. Car will be in the 2000 pound with 275 HP range.
How well does the 55 inch wide GT-3 add on element such as this one work?

I put one on my GT3, and the difference was noticable over the stock one. I had more downforce (as measured by stability in the sweepers) at 4 degrees than with the stock one at 8 degrees. And I had as much top speed as the stock one at the same settings. Plus they are quite light.

I have a GT Racing carbon wing that is several years old, but unused, so essentially new. It is 60" x 10" and is intended to bolt to a 993-based RS/RSR tail. I believe it listed for $900 when GT Racing last sold them. I'll take $700 for it. PM me if interested.

Thanks for the tips. Calls have been made.
LD...73 RSR sorta look a like and most of the car is home made by a hack so a nice wing might only draw eyes away from the bondo and weld globs. I love the look of a long hood with a duck tail and have a duck tail on it now but ducks just don't make downforce. 70's era tail treatments seem to be more for reducing lift than making downforce. I have welded in foundations on ether side of the boot hatch and do not need to use a lid mounted type so Ican run a duck and whatever I need or nothing at all above it. Dating the 10 prom queen is all good fun but taking a skilled 5 home that speaks "yes" is another.

If not a duck tail then what about a whale tail? You can do a vertical gracer lip around the edges to catch more air and it would look fairly stock. Don't know if you plan to race the car at all, but I know NASA allows a 1" gracer lip to be added without penalty.

Is the CF look peel and stick hood covering legal?

Full size on the way. I didn't want to embarrass myself when you come up to Road Atlanta. Plus some kid in a Neon SRT wanted it really badly. It had less downforce than putting a brick in the trunk. Seriously, $53 on eBay.

You might want to consider something for the front, too.
On the street, my car looks (to my eyes, at least) pretty cool and vintage.
At the track, it looks, well... kind of butt ugly. But the aero helps. Here's the girl who didn't get picked to be prom queen showing that she's game for just about anything -- legs up in the air and all twisted.
Building your own aero lets you tweak the different parts and try lots of little variations:
