Race Fuel - Road Atlanta
Do most of you guys buying race fuel get it at the track, or on the way to, or near, the track? I've never paid much attention since I've never needed it before, but it seems I've seen both. With my old go kart, I'd get it on the way to the track b/c it was more convenient. I was only buying 2 gallons at the most for a race day, so cost difference wasn't a big deal.
I'm going to Road Atlanta for the June DE, and didn't find any nearby Sunocos that sold race gas.
Thanks!

Drifting
There is race gas at the first station to the right (when pulling out of the track ie. the rt85 side) about 1 mile. I think it is a Chevron IIRC.

Race Car
There is a..........want to say Citgo (by a Kangaroo station) there on 58 heading west (towards gainsville). Its on the left past the new overpass. They used to sell up to 110.
Dave I don't think that chevron has race gas.

The Kangaroo just off 585 had 110 octane. However, someone mentioned that it closed down.

It is tough to find fuel that doesn't have ethanol in the area around the track as well. I try to bring the fuel I need and if I run out, buy it at the track sparingly.

At Road Atlanta, 260 GTX was $9.90 this March and down to $8.75 in April.
Does anyone buy drums? I've found 55 gallon drums for $7.80 gallon, however, to purchase the pump and tank to haul will result in a breakeven in 187.5 sessions- 24 weekends.
