Are you still watching the ALMS?

ALMS is awesome stuff, amazing cars, great drivers. GT2 is great this year, yes.
Rolex is great too, love the DP and GT stuff. I can't believe how the adjustments jacked the Porsches right off the bat. Stupid. It always seems like Pontiac comes back after 'adjustments'.
Man do I wish FIA-GT was on Speed. Anyone know where we can watch it? I want to see the Morgans and Audi's dice it up.

In fact, there is a later bulletin that gives the BMW a rule break: Here
Incidentally: a 4L car weighing 1245Kg should have a restrictor size (when using 2 restricors) of 28,6 mm. As you can see from the last bulletin, BMW was given a rule break to allow them to run with bigger (29,4mm) air restrictors (thus more air).

Note the date (April, 24 post Sebring, St. Pete, and Long Beach), they specifically mentioned during the Sebring broadcast they had choked the cars down and were going to gradually back off the restrictions during the year to make them more competitive. Either way you slice it, those are "performance adjustments".

I wouldn't believe everything you hear on a broadcast.
What was the source?
I can tell you that the "exemptions" to the GT2 rules were in place before the car raced.
Besides - The restrictor break is now above and beyond what the GT2 rules stipulate for that size engine and weight.

Aren't #2 and #3 part of what distinguish GT1 from GT2?

Did you just say "amongst"? ha!
I've watched both for a long time.
But it's true the P1/P2 is like an Acura commercial, blah.
I met the Dyson team in Long Beach, and they're great, we can root for them (even though they had to move to Mazda power).
I'm glad the Penske boys are able to play in Grand Am this year.
But bottom line is GA is still like AAA ball compared to big league ALMS.
Lizards at Le Mans will have Bergmeister and Neiman, but have Darren Law instead of Long or Van Overbeek or Pillet or some other hot shoe.
But Le Man is about surviving, not necessarily having the fastest drivers.....

I watch it all whenever the dbags at Speed get around to airing it. They are good about ALMS but the other series that follow them really gets effed.
I keep recording some friggin motorcycle show even though it says its the Sebring World Challenge race. They did air the Koni challenge on the 9th.

ALMS will be much better next year once the classes are ironed out, if it survives. It's absolutely horse **** this year except for a few major races. GA is great racing to watch and some really good drivers have joined the series.
ALMS needs to get their **** together or the series is done.

The good news for Porsche fans is that the Felbermayer RSR will have Lieb-Lietz-Henzler and one of the IMSA cars will have Narac-Pilet-Long
