Default No contact close call at LRP Club race

Somehow Ron Cohn in the 944 managed to get by the spinning car without a scratch. Really good news was that no one made any contact during the spin.

The LRP event was a great event, I had a blast.
I can't wait now for the WGI race at the end of May.

I'm the car right in front of you in the video...that was not a fun moment. I went agro to avoid it. The spin seemed to happen in slow motion which helped give all of us time to react.

I was watching from the hill and everyone held their breath expecting the big CRUNCH. Amazing that Ron and Sean avoided it! Must be the closest call ever

Ron was a trooper and kept his head...too bad about needing to change his shorts though! Sean went the safe way, and avoided a mess too! Unfortunately that slowed him down somewhat.

Just kidding about Ron!

Nice driving Gary and Sean. Sean, it looks like you were ALL OVER IT as you slowed the instant the car ahead got loose. Nice...

That was pretty intense, I thought they were going to hit for sure and I was going to have go to the right. I was really happy to see that there was no contact though .
I called Ron last night after watching the video and said I would get it up quick so he could see it.
I have a feeling the guy in the spinning car was very happy with everyones reactions, it doesn't get much closer than that.

Unfortunately, that spin and my subsequent agro move set me back quite a bit in the race. But as Jupe says, experience has now taught me to run and hide when somebody spins in front of me

Talk about close.............. Gary, thanks for sharing the video. Luck and good driving is a great combination.

I had a spin in the blue enduro and was real happy no one behind me made any contact after the initial push considering it was the 3rd lap and half the field was still behind. Speaks highly to the caliber of drivers in PCA.

Exactly, I was thinking - I've seen this movie before and it has a very expensive ending. I would have driven into the woods to avoid it. Difference this time compared to last is that there were a bunch of good aware drivers around looking out for one another not trying to take advantage of a dangerous situation. Case in point, Tim "broken spindle" Lynn gave me plenty of room to come back on track.
