Hope I am not overstepping rules here...but I would like to make something perfectly clear. The "Cayman Interseries Championship" is to be run in HSR. Porsche AG, PCNA or Porsche Motorsport is not involved in any way. This is a program that HSR has been working long and hard to develop and has been formed expressly by me and sponsored by Napleton Porsche. Although the cars fit into many race groups with SCCA, Porsche Club,NASA,etc.,the purpose of the series was to make available cars that were ready to be modified and have cool single marque championship series to run in HSR. Thanks, Ron Barnaba

I don't get why there are so many spec series starting. Isn't this just going to dilute racing. There's 944 spec, SPBOX, 996 spec? (haven't researched it at all, just heard rumors), spec Miata, Spec Focus, spec Neon which recently calapsed, Formula Enterprise, now a spec Cayman. With all these spec classes and only a limited number of drivers won't the racers just spread out within whats available. The whole purpose of a spec class is for it to be a driver's/racing class, but if there are fewer racers in each class doesn't that defeat the purpose.

I understand that classes like SM can get out of hand, but with 944 spec and SPBOX just getting started there is still parity within the class. Why are we trying to provide another option? Maybe I'm dense, but I don't quite get it.

The Hippie Paint would look cool. I wonder if the cayman has the curves of the 917 to make it work.
