BINGO. A simple, valid point frequently and obviously lost on many here.

Greg, my comment was purely for humor value, actually.
I suspect it is possible, but not common.
Do I do it in a DE? Nope. I do about a 20% lift just before turn in for 4, and then back to WOT all the way to my braking point.
Could my car do it WOT all the way? I believe it could with the right tires, but frankly I am not interested in pushing that hard at a DE.
Could yours do it? I believe it could as well, again with the right tires.
My dos centavos.

My point was that rather than argue whether someone was able to do something or not why not try to learn from them and see if they have something of value to learn from.
Jay (Matus) isn't the fastest driver I have seen, he has room for improvement and he and I both know it and work on it EVERY day we are at the track. The car has room for improvement also, that is my job not Jays', but don't worry I am making it faster each time out as well. Rather than be concerned with whether or not Jay is flat out in 4 why not try to learn from what he is doing, he seems to be doing an ok job, or atleast better than most out on the track for whatever reason. There might be something to learn from other drivers.

So, me being negative/pessimistic, its easier to doubt than to agree.
oh, and i'm not concerned about Jay. Thanks though.

Because most people don't have the slightest clue what they actually do in a car vs what they think they do. 9 times out of 10, when someone says they take X corner at WOT, its probably a lie. Not a lie to deceive others, but they are just honestly mistaken on whats really going on, and if they had a car with data, then they would see how that lift at entry then WOT isn't, or that feather at exit isn't WOT through the turn. .
Can you prove that it is 9 times out of 10? I want my Pope certificate, too.

The irony is rich in this thread.

WHAT! Some drivers embellish their skills! NEVER! My bubble has burst. I'm really disappointed that people would say or imply anything that wasn't exactly 100% accurate AND that could be proven with great detail (video, paper, affidavit from the Pope, etc) to every doubting Thomas and naysayer. I'm definitely going to ask for more and better proof next time someone makes a statement of fact.
