Default Question on wing uprights and angle of attack

Hi,

Does anyone have the shape and size for the wing uprights for holding a banana wing to a 993 GT3 base.

Also, what is the range of the angle of attack for the banana wing and how do you measure it.

Thanks

Ed

straight edge from gurney flap, or wing trailing edge to leading edge. keep in mind that that is not really the true angle of the wing, as it has to take into account the air deflection off the roofline. that is anywhere from 5-10 degrees depending on the car's shape. anything more than a total of 15 degrees and you start stalling the wing. no more downforce (lift) but increased drag. generally, lift to drag ratios are in the 10:1 range optimally.

I have an extra GT3 cup car wing upright if you are interested in looking at it . I used it as a template for my GT3 wing mounted with custom uprights on my 928
