My first track day is coming up and I need a helmet. So I am interested in your opinions on what brand and type, integral or open face, you would recommend?
My car is a 964 C2 with a sunroof.

I use a Bell sport full face. Its my first helmet, and it isn't as expensive as others. I chose the full face over a open because it offers more protection, especially if the airbag were to deploy.
Its definitely important to try on the helmet as not all manufactures' helmets are sized the same. sometimes even within the same brand, sizes between models may differ... or it could be just my awkwardly shaped head.

Stand21 made to order but that would likely be OTT for first track day. Make sure you check with your event organizers regarding the SPEC/Type helmet they accept. Some areas do not accept M-rated while others do. If possible find the correct spec from a buddy and borrow it.
Unless you are the exception to the general rule be forewarned this is a VERY ADDICTIVE sport. Enjoy and post your results/feedback.
Cheers.

Doesn't much matter what others use, as they all fit a bit differently, including different models of the same brand. I use a Bell M3 Extra because it comes in a size 8 1/2 and fits well.
Try many and get the one that fits you best.

Bell M4. Fits perfectly, relatively inexpensive. You are in Sweden, which may make our advice less relevant. I'd say find a race shop near you and go see what they have and try some on. Fit is incredibly important. I had a different Bell before this one and I ordered the same size for the new helmet. It came and was too big, so I had to return it for the next size smaller. So if you don't have a shop near you that sells helmets and order online, be prepared that it may take a while to get the correct size.

Simpson Voyager for me simply because of fit. I wouldn't mind having something lighter, but I would have to try it on first to see if it fit me properly.
