HJC
Lightweight. Great fit. Good bang for the buck.

They all fit very differently. Either find a shops to try different brands, or get some advice and buy a few and return the ones that don't fit.
If you have an oval shaped head (i.e. narrow side-to-side, longer front-to-back) like me I tried on almost everything out there and the only company that fit was Arai (GP5) and I love it.
Enjoy your first track day! Have you heard it's slightly addictive?

Russel Elrod is the person to deal with at their east coast location at Road Atlanta.

Stilo open face for DE and full face for racing. Stilo is BSI certified, i.e. the FIA certification which is also accepted by PCA. I like the BSI idea, the helmet has a date in it. After ten years you replace it. Better idea than the Snell which dates only by 5 year intervals.

All,
I have no airbag and and it's a coupe with working A/C that I may remove one day. Until now I have been looking at FIA approved helmets with H.A.N.S fittings of the open face type. Most of you seem to use closed helmets, so maybe I should reconsider...
doesen't a closed helmet get warm?
And how about fresh air supply? I presume you remove the visor? So far I have looked at the Peltor Performance, I like the low weight, just 1000 grams. Could be a good choice if I put on the touring peek. The Arai GP Jet F also seem(ed) like a good option.
And now you have ruined my plans with those fancy integral helmets of yours.![ducking](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/icon107.gif)
Happy Easter all Rennlisters.

I have had Bell's, Stand 21 and now Arai - as I liked my moto helmet so much I moved on (needed a new rating) from Stand 21 to Arai GP5. It has a nice wide opening allowing easy in and out for my glasses.

full face HJC, lighweight mid level model (not the carbon fiber most lightweight model); as has been said before, try each on and wear it for as long as you can hang around the shop.
