Racing shop, Manhattan New York?
Hi there,
I'm visiting Manhattan next week and I would like some help on where to find a store that sells Sparco helmets, preferably on or near Manhattan.
I guess most shops are located outside the cities, but anyway.

Don't know of any in Manhattan, although there may be some. There are several in Northern NJ, including Stable Energies in Garfield, Driving Impressions in Dover, etc. Don't know if any carry SPARCO helmets.

no not yet, i am still looking for my first Porsche, i DE my 08 Audi A4, i was planning on purchasing but then the economy said bye bye!!!
Soon i will, looking to get a nice Porsche for the street and a track beater.

I've always said that you can find anything, anytime here in New York, but I think you've found the exception to that rule. There are a couple of motorcycle shops on the lower west side of Mahattan that sell helmets (I imagine only Snell M rated motorcycle types, tho) , but AFAIK, there is no racing store here -I wish there was, as I need a helmet.
Also, I've never visited the NJ stores mentioned, but I will say that getting from Manhattan to NJ by car is always a major drag for me, and fairly impossible without one. If i were visiting NYC for a limited period of time, I think I'd spend my time doing other things... Just my .02
