To answer a question raised by Dave, I found that when I put ATE in my Audi, the clutch gaskets started to squeak. I switched to Motul, and the annoying sound went away. I've used both in my track only 993 and then ATE in my 6GT3, and had similar good experiences, but I flush every 1-2 weekends, and use big cooling ducts.

FYI- SRF needs to be replaced after 18 months. Not an issue for track cars, but this is short for a street car.

$90 for brake fluid is silly. I've been using Motul RBF 600 and it's been great. And I think I pay something like $20/bottle.

Motul RBF 600 is $40.00 per liter. Typically SRF is around $70 per liter.

For the street I would use Castrol LIMA GT or ATE gold.

Pentosin Racing Brake Fluid at $17 per liter and 300 C dry (572F) and 200 C (392F) is a great bargain. Dark gold color is easy to see against the max mark on brake reservoir. G50 Clutch pedal seems smoother/firmer, too.

(Clutch fluid flush and bleed is no easy feat on a G50.)

I thought that I was the only one using Pentosin Racing Fluid. Stuff works great and the specs put it half way between ATE Blue and SRF.

Interesting. Where does the 18 month replacement recommendation come from?

Check the Audi sites. ATE has a problem with Audi seals. Deteriorates them, I recall.
