Im planning on going but its only 4 hours for me. I wont run in the rain. VIR can be weird in terms of weather. Ive seen heavy forecast never rain. It is a bummer to have such a forecast for such a great weekend..... Im going.

I will be there. 2 1/2 hours form Charlotte.

TRJ is right. Weather shifts a lot. Last September at the Potomac 3 day event, it rained hard Friday morning, then broke around 11:30 and the track was very drivable at 1 PM and the rest of the weekend.

I was at CMP 2 weeks ago and the rain was constant all day Saturday and Sunday. Fun to drive in for several sessions Saturday, but I loaded up up Sunday morning at 10 AM after looking at the weather maps.

My student had a C4S, which was perfect for the conditons.

8 hours is a long haul, but you never know.

C'mon you guys! I'm towing 14 hours to be there and I don't even have a roof on the car!

If it rains 100% of the time all weekend, I'm sure I'll skip a couple of sessions, but I'll still get a bunch of laps in.

I'll be there. Don't really have any wet weather tires so not sure how much driving I'll be doing. But, as said above, VIR is weird where weather is concerned.

Oh come on. You're not going to put any faith that the weatherman is going to be right do you? If those weather models are so accurate, then how come they change the forecast everyday?

I'm driving 8 hours and I don't care if it rains. I'm actually looking forward to it. The part I don't like is the temperature. I'd rather have it in the 60's, but what can you do?

I'll be up there at some point. If it does rain I'll see if I can do a late entry and run the wife's car. Rain = Fun and good learning opportunity

Absolutely,

A great track to run slicks on in the rain. You will learn alot. T1 is really bad just past the apex and be careful in T10. Pretty safe everywhere else.

I'm going. Have to go slower in the rain, but it is great practice and it is a DE afterall. My R888's should be great for anything short of a down pour. If it puddles too much the track will be closed anyway.
