'03 F350 Crew cab SRW longbed 4X4 w/ 75K now gets about 15.5 running around town (mostly 50 mile roundtrips to the shop at 65-70mph, 99% freeway at speed). USED TO GET about 17mpg, before I got a recall for reprogramming, which I had to do to renew the registration two years ago, and the nifty, super ultra minimal sulfer content diesel. And no doubt the power is down, too, with the reflash. Always wondered if we could class action Ford if the hp/torque specs really are 10+% lower than advertised.........

Oh, and towing now, I'm lucky to get 8-8.5mpg. That's flat as can be towing from the Bay Area to Thunderhill at 55-60. Realize the trailer is 10ft tall, so the amount of wind resistance isn't even funny. Used to get close to 10 before the above-mentioned reflash and reformulated fuel.

Ha, I drove one of those back in highschool working for my dad. We use to drag race them down main back in the day. Worked for the local school system hauling dirt for projects. Learned to drive a standard back then with all the yard trucks and tractors. Ah the memories...

02 Dodge 2500 4x4
11-12 mpg towing either 30' travel trailer (10,000 lbs) or enclosed 20' car trailer (8000 lbs w/ 951 and gear)
15 - 16 mpg around town with winter fuel and 18 - 19 mpg with good fuel around town -- about 2 mpg better on the highway.
