I guess I really should not worry about minutia......

BTW, there will be another set of black CCW with mounted R6s at LRP this year, kind of like the ones in your and Gary's avatar.......
Paolo, your job as a rookie is to not spin, not crash, not cause anyone else to spin or crash, and finish last.....but finish. Forget the tires for now IMO and good luck!

sorry for the confusion.......
(for a second I thought about selling the car and going SM)
I'm still confused... according to rule 5 of prepared changes,
"Transmission - Ratio of the ring and pinion may be changed."

Doesn't this allow for short gears as a prepared change?

Why just the enduro? I'd also like to not be hit during the sprint race.

I think the difference is just swapping the R&P versus custom gearing each of the 5 gears.

No, the rules allow for a change in Ring and Pinion ratio, but not a change in gear ratios.

Paolo Run 245/275 despite what ron says! they are faster On a Carrera. I ran them both on 17's and 18's and they are a good .75 sec faster on the Old LRP. Hard to say if the 18's are faster but they feel better.
You will need to reset the ride heights ovalize the oil line and shave a spring plate bolt if needed. I ran( 88 Carrera) a 1.00.8 at Rennsport II in the old F Stock. The Track in now faster....prob 1/2 sec/lap

Paolo - by "short gears" i'm SURE you mean a 7:31 ring and pinion... which is legal as a "prepared" change... which I believe is how Ronnie ran the car.

Better have those cams pulled and compression ratio checked as well though.... just a thought.

Bob thanks for the advice, I will do.......

MJR You are absolutely correct about the ring and pinion, that is what I should have said in the first place, thanks for clarifying it.....
I will have the compression ratio checked as you suggest....grazie....
