Tire Rack for some reason won't show the GT3 wheel options for 997S. 997 base car shows the OZ in 8.5 and 11" widths, to see the offsets for the GT3 sized wheels, just plug in a 2008 GT3 and you'll see the 18x8.5 and 18x12 versions. I'd ask the tire shop / race shop which of the 235 or 245 they suggest. Not sure there's really much to gain...

Hey I've used OZ Superleggera and Ultraleggera with great success as track wheels on my E36 race car and e46 street car. Great wheels and surprisingly robust. Highly recomended.

You know ask Rad (NJ-GT) about the 19" Nittos, IRRC he said they might give you ABS issues.

I own a 2006 997S and I intend to buy 18" OZ Alleggerita HLT, but I don't really know the sizes I need. Right now I have 8.5x19" and 12x19" GT3 wheels.

The 18" wheels should be:
8.5x18" and 11.5x18"?
With what ET?

Tirewise I'm going for Michelin Cup or R888's. (More likely R888)
Rears should be 305/35ZR18? Or 315/30ZR18? Or 335/30ZR18?
305/35ZR18 has an overall diameter of 26.3
315/30ZR18 has an overall diameter of 25.5
335/30ZR18 has an overall diameter of 26

So 305 and 335 should be the best option.

Fronts should be 235/40ZR18?
235/40ZR18 has an overall diameter 25.5
245/40ZR18 has an overall diameter 25.7
255/35ZR18 has an overall diameter 25.1

I have no idea whatsoever on fronts ... Hope someone can help ..
I hope your you are not in a hurry. I ordered a set of the OZ Alleggerita rims in mid Feb. and I am told I will not see them till the end of May.

Well, I'm hoping to use them at Spa Francorchamps the 28th of May .. We'll see how that goes. My tire/wheel center will be contacting OZ for rates and delivery times ...

For a few bucks more you can get FORGED CCW wheels....awesome track and street wheel. john can ship you wheels in just days. They also pop up for sale on these forums regularly for around $1700-2000.
Dr. Car on the forums was selling a set recently.

you have to wait 'til end of may? some ppl like 930man may have sold bought sold and bought then sold the car 10x before the wheel showed up.

you can buy CCW from good old USA and have it at your house with tires on them in less than 5 days. sort of BBS motorsport, i am a diehard CCW guy.

john is the owner of CCW: complete custom wheels.
you want C10 or C14.
call him up. he knows everything you need to know about wheels and some.

btw, the so called GT3 offsets from MANY manufacturers aren't really GT3 offsets.
CCW can make the offset to fit all sort of wheels. last i spoke with them, they recommend 9.5 for the front as now hoosiers have 255 for us.
you wont find another 9.5 wheel that would fit gt3's.

oh and they are cheap, $2900/set new.

i dont work for them, i just love their wheels and have bought and sold 7 sets.

they also run 12" rear for 315's.
he will also do 11" 11.5" or whatever you want.

the cool thing is that most ppl buy wheels to fit their cars. CCW make wheels based on your car and the rubber you like to run. quite refreshing to me.

CCW might be decent and good value for money ... But they don't have dealers in Europe/Belgium...

If they are looking for dealers, tell that guy to contact me. The biggest dealer in Belgium is a good friend, maybe he's interested.
