I'd add, arguing with Wayne and Kibort to that list

For me it's skiing - too cold and way too much snow to do anything else.

bikes, karts, video games, surfing, and playing baseball- which i don't really think helps me drive better but it sure makes me afford it easier

There's not much of an off season on the west coast. I just finished a test weekend at Thunderhill and I am having the car prepared for the first race on March 1st!

Full on snowmobiling, ski racing & hockey. Guess where I live? You cannot beat sledding/ski racing for working on" vision" as you slalom amongst the pines/gates.

Wayne is not even sporting to slam around any more. In fact, he seems to be significantly down on power.

Come on Van, you should know this. First, it depends on where you live and what you have access too. But without a doubt, light free-weight training, tons of cardio -anything that induces high intensity training. Depending on your budget or the team's, a lot of guys would travel around to various venues and do testing in different set-ups in the off-seasons - mostly in Florida. And without a doubt, 'all' racers I know take every advantage of karting, let me clarify to be specific, shifter karts- 125cc or 250cc. The best ROI for maintaining and developing skills sets for racing. Below is a great video to watch. It's a 250 cc shifter kart race at Road America, which is a blistering fast track.

skiing as well, as sprinting! (100m 200m). (keeps you sharp for those standing starts Ill probably never have the pleasure of running again )

I think bench racing on the list is always a good way to keep yourself sharp

The most favorite off season fun is testing the car on the weekends on the way to the store!

That looks like soo much fun. I need to get into that.

I brush up on some reading (speed secrets) making sure i'm in the right place mentally, do karting to play around with consistency, tire sensing, speed sensing and finding that fine line between good slide and scrubbed speed, soccer to stay in shape, video games for reaction time and snowboarding to cure cabin fever. I'm interested in the Iracing, because I want to practice real tracks but haven't set it up yet.

rFactor looks awesome. I'm getting a g25 wheel ASAP and logging in.
