Yes, although it seems that the A/C is optional.
From Porsche PR: "Noticeable at first sight are the air outlet slots, or the so-called louvers, on the front hood: an indication of the completely redesigned air ducting of the radiators, which became necessary through the new design of supply and discharge air with the installation of an optional air-conditioning unit."

Or even 1/3 the $$ of some others!
And there it is...

Only because of the to gear limitations and that 9400rpm rev limit.
4liters and still the 9400rpm rev limit. I wonder what the hp is without the restrictors?
remember that RSR dyno graph that was posted by Leh? 438rwhp? that was back a few years too!

So can one of you guys fortunate to own a 997 Cup explain how the sequential shifter works? I get the upshift part - just pull the shifter back - with no clutch action involved right? But how about downshifts? Are you using the clutch then? Or is the clutch only for use from a standing start? Also, would like to hear about selecting reverse. I know the squeeze lever is involved, but I just haven't figured out the ergonomics of the sequential shifter yet. (I'll never have such exotic stuff in my elderly 911S!) And having more than 5 forward gears just isn't even in the realm of possibility!

I always use the clutch and blip when I downshift the sequential. But it still makes a terrible noise most of the time. So I sent it to the guy who does all the factory race tran rebuilds (Copans) for a yearly physical and he said it was fine
Hope it lasts all 2009 too.

Interesting comments. When you watch the youtube videos of the pros driving these Cup Cars, you learn very quickly just how good they are with their feet. I got to ride for a few laps with a pro driver on the former F1 circuit outside of Dijon, France (Circuit Prenois) in his team's 2001 GT3-R. OMG! His feet were moving around like I had never seen. I suspect that the sequential gearbox only makes that dance I saw so very much faster!
