I never misunderestimate Rany Pobst.

Mark, I am no longer permitted to post them here.

He will have no chance! Randy is good, but the GT3 cup with the hopped up motor, is better!

Bummer about the pictures!

Saw the carbon parts on the car when they were being made. Awesome stuff that is impressive. These cars are not the same as the AtSpeed cars. They should be competitive and awesome.

Yeah, but I wonder about the power. Will they be allowed to have the kick that the Audis both S4 and RS6 had? Since they had experience wooping the field with the high powered 4x4s then, they might have a better chance than the older Volvo R.

I guess we will know in a couple of months.

All I know (and its not much) is that its a sealed motor package developed by Mahle USA with the SCCA watching. No restrictor plates etc, they are handling power output via boost control etc. that the SCCA can monitor.

I'm all for new forms of competition in a series. The biggest bummer here is that Porsche lost it's strongest presence in the series with K-pax jumping to Volvo.

Hopefully the GMG boys steup up and do us proud this season.

I still associate Randy with the Champion Audi RS6 taking on the CTS-Vs. He's pretty good with the AWD sedans.

I know a mech who worked for AtSpeed. Engines were built by Cosworth and had well over 500 hp and gobs of torque. One of their biggest development problems was getting the trans to last, but they were plenty fast as long as the trans held together, and DBell stayed off of Vettes. In his defense, the car in front of him did not budge when the green flag fell.

I figured as much. Since I run with a few S200s with blowers that get over 410hp at the rear wheels out of a 2.2, Evos that run 2.4 liters and get 460rwhp, I would suspect a true pro effort with the 2.5 could get it easily up over 500hp.

I dont think DBell needs any defense. I saw the incident, I was a coupleo of row behind him! That was a Bummer. He has had such bad luck at Laguna in WCGT comp!

After reading the article, it looks like its just Randy, but a second driver named, Andy Pilgrim. (never heard of him ).

Anyway, they both are going to get killed until they develope the car!

The interesting thing is that Galati is not going to be running with Kpax. maybe he will run the porsche with someone else. (if he is smart)
