Just got a mailer from the Racers Group announcing among other things that they are opening a facility similar to their Sears Point space at NJMP. "Full prep, service, driver coaching, testing, racecar storage, race shop for traveling teams, locker rooms etc etc. Sounds pretty fabulous.

Just excited about Stars East having a race there in the spring....finally a race I don't have to fly to and from...just a 6 hour tow/drive.

I am psyched to see how this facility develops, as its the first od its kind at NJMP, and should set a VERY high standard.

I must admit it is very tempting, have to see what Forrest thinks about it. We are concentrating on FF this year planning to do just local karting. We'd have to do a one off deal and since it's either ICA or TAG we'd need to do a lot of preparation. But the prospect of racing an hour from home is pretty enticing!
What are you guys racing this year? Does CJ move out of Jr classes too?

Only an hour away, you can get plenty of track (test) time before the Stars East race June 26-28 (assuming it ever stops snowing). Tim Hannen runs the kart facility there, one of the nicest guys in karting. I'm sure if you brought the FF, Tim would let you take it out at the end of the day.

TaG ICC is interesting, very low (last race in Vegas was free IIRC) weekend engine lease rates, TaG is Iame Leopard only (no 2009 Leopard allowed).

Single event Stars license is no problem.

This is CJ's last year as a Junior (he made the birthday cutoff by 2 days...), so we're running TaG Jr at the Florida Winter Tour (JICA was dropped due to not enough entries) and JICA (and maybe also Tag Jr....he thinks he has enough endurance to run 2 classes) at Stars.....last year for JICA, so time to use up the engines before they're scrap.

Send me a PM in the spring if you're going to be there....I plan on heading down at least a couple of weekends to get in some test time (have never seen/driven the track)
