Default Considering the sale of my D-Class 911 SC

Buying a house is putting more pressure on the wallet than I thought… After many discussions with my wife, I am considering (not sure yet) skipping the 2009 season altogether and selling my D class 911 that I love so much! Let me know if interested.

Heregoes:
  • PCA D Class SC built and maintained by Dan Jacobs.
  • Consistent podium finisher and winner. Won last 2 races overall.
  • 3.0 eng & 915 tranny rebuilt in 2007, have 7 Club Race events, 1 DE equivalent on them.
  • Ignition/Injection system rebuilt in Sept 08.
  • Headers and straight pipes.
  • Wevo shifter.
  • Oil cooler.
  • Susp built with best of the best components: SRP bars and mounts, custom valved RSR Bilsteins, spher and poly-b, strut tower brace, tons of camber for max adjustability.
  • Safety Devices cage with side impact bars.
  • Fire suppression system with outlets in engine compartment, cockpit, and trunk.
  • Fuel cell.
  • Kirkey seats.
  • Schroth/Simpson harnesses.
  • Kill-switch.
  • 2 sets of 17 inch (8/9) Forgeline wheels with ½ used Hoosier R6s.
  • RUF front bumper, IROC rear bumper.
  • RS Interior.
  • AIM MXL Pista data system.
  • Spares.
Asking $35,000.

I think you need bigger idiot lights on the dash.

That's a great car for someone who wants to jump in and be able to win anywhere with a reliable, simple car. Should win E class too at most tracks!

it's a great time to buy a house, I have been looking in CT for a long time and of the 30 or so houses I have seen, have only seen a few sell and usually at about 30% off asking prices. Unfortunately the "appraisers" are still starting them at 2007 prices which is ridiculous. I found a nice one with an 8 car garage (8 garage door remotes!) but it's a little close to the main road.

Good luck and hope to see you back "on track" soon.

Sounds like an awsome car for a great price. I made the mistake selling my RSA a while back and started over with another car. Why not just put it up and when funds settle out then just dust it off and go racing again? Im sure its paid for and 30K in the big scheme of things would probably not make that much differance unless the wife factor is involved.

Good luck either way...

I hope it doesn't come to that Fred but it's only a car and you will be fast in anything you come back with. Love the 2nd picture, most likely would have been the finishing order that day if Sean's 915 didn't grenade..

I still have nightmares with that cruuuuuuunnnnncccchhhhhh sound of you trying to jam it into 3rd gear for T1 at Lightning... and Fred tried giving you all that extra room on the inside once and you still couldn't catch him!

Mine is out right now doing a couple things to it:

Port and polish the heads
Boat tail the case
Bore and stroke
Adding a couple extra cylinders
etc.

If I were to sell mine, I'd put the "pass inspection" motor back in rather than the race engine

What you should do is raise the price about $10K and then you can tell the wife you aren't having any luck selling it because of the economy blah, blah blah.

She knows just enough about Club Racing for this strategy to have a chance to work... Thanks for the advice

Mine's a 3.8 now with a discreet nitrous bottle....
