Should be the flat six. PMNA didn't like the Cayenne V8/DP shenanigans last year. Would be curious if it's still the GT1 based motor. My guess is yes.

Bergmeister's as tall as I am (6'5"). Long is about half that..
Nothing new to them, they've shared cars a bunch before.

Wolf will be driving for Farnbacher Loles in ALMS....they're apparently going to try to run 2 cars. I'm not sure about Pilet. Long and Bergmeister will be driving one Lizard car, Neiman, Law, and Van Overbeek the other.

Flat-six. The Cayenne V-8 is not supported by Porsche. Reportedly PMNA approached Weissach during the 2008 season and pitched an idea for a Porsche-supported V-8 for Grand-Am. Weissach said, "Ummm...Nein!"

Yeah, I got the Lizard email on this yesterday.

Also the Lizards are only doing 2 cars this year, saving money I guess.

So is the RS Spyder going to take a 1 year hiatus to come back into LMP1?

Or is Porsche just trying to save money too, and saying screw it?

Grand Am has been like amatuer hour compared to ALMS, and those prototypes are uniformly ugly.

So far as I know, every team that campaigned an RS Spyder in 2008 has either abandoned them for 2009 or left racing...on both sides of the pond.

Penske: Grand-Am Rolex DP w/Porsche-Riley
Dyson: ALMS LMP2 w/Mazda-Lola Coupe
VM Motorsport: RS Spyder for sale, future plans unknown
Doran Lista: RS Spyder for sale, Fredy Lienhard retiring from racing
Team Essex: John Neilsen apparently has funding problems for 2009

LMP1 for 2010 remains an unconfirmed rumor...but I think it is probably a pretty reasonable bet unless the economy stays in the dumper.

p.s. Apparently one of the Dyson RS Spyders has been sold.
